The Demo Fight Revolves Around the Lights

Bleicher Geist can soak up shots if you aim at the wrong place. This ANOMALITH Bleicher Geist boss guide focuses on the demo's loop: survive the attack sequence, destroy the illuminated nodes, and take the melee opening when the boss collapses. Learning that loop matters more than emptying every magazine into its body.

In narrated player experience, ordinary body shots and claws do very little damage to this boss. The lights extending from its back are the meaningful targets once they open. FURYU also identifies Bleicher Geist in its official ANOMALITH announcements; the tactics below come from demo players, rather than a claim that we tested the full release.

Read the Arm Cue and Keep MP Available

The dedicated boss narrator describes a teleport that brings Bleicher Geist close, followed by an arm attack. Watch the boss rather than focusing entirely on your aiming reticle: in that example, the gold flash is the cue to time the parry.

The same player cautions that being slightly outside the attack's close range can leave you exposed to a ground wave instead. Do not treat every raised arm as a reason to stand still at any distance. When the move begins, decide whether you can safely meet the close attack or need to reposition.

Parrying and claw attacks consume MP in another narrated demo run. Save enough for the next defensive opportunity instead of spending the entire gauge on damage. Keep moving between openings, and avoid letting your gun obscure the boss's body language for too long.

Shoot the Lit Nodes, Then Take the Melee Prompt

Use this sequence as a practical plan for the demonstrated encounter:

  1. During the opening attacks, stay attentive to parry opportunities while waiting for the lights to become active.
  2. Once nodes illuminate, put your shots into those targets instead of the main body.
  3. Continue damaging accessible nodes when another becomes awkward to aim at. The dedicated guide stresses that all of them need to be broken.
  4. When the boss drops and the contextual melee prompt appears, move in and use that opening.
  5. Resume watching attacks and breaking lights when the boss gets back up.

The boss guide's author prefers the submachine gun for breaking these targets quickly. That is a player recommendation, not a measured damage ranking. The other demo narrator also reports that objects left by the boss can be broken for ammunition, so keep an eye on replenishment opportunities rather than assuming your starting supply is the entire fight's budget.

Use Pillar Shadows and Respect the Dangerous Light Attack

When Bleicher Geist raises platforms or pillars for its large light attack, the dedicated narrator tells players to get behind the shadowed side. Move toward cover as soon as you recognize the setup; waiting to finish another burst can leave you too late to reach it.

There is an important limit to that advice. The same player describes another dangerous light sequence that they could not consistently avoid, despite trying different positions. They sometimes interrupted it by breaking the final remaining node, but did not present that as a guaranteed answer to every occurrence.

Keep health topped up when supplies allow, and use safe openings to heal. That is a survival buffer, not proof that the attack is unavoidable or that healing guarantees survival. Expect to repeat the node-and-melee cycle rather than assuming the first collapse ends the fight.

FAQ

Why do my shots barely hurt Bleicher Geist?

In the narrated demo run, body damage is very low. Wait for the back-mounted lights to open and target those nodes.

Should I use the SMG against the boss?

The dedicated boss guide recommends it for quickly breaking light nodes. It is a useful demo starting point, rather than a verified best weapon for every loadout.

Is hiding behind a pillar enough for every light attack?

The guide demonstrates using pillar shadows for one sequence, but its author could not consistently counter another light attack. Do not extend the cover advice into a universal guarantee.
